Live Ball Tennis Clinics
A live ball tennis clinic is a fast-paced group session where a pro feeds balls nonstop and you play quick points in 2-on-2 format. No serving, just constant movement and rotation between champion and challenger sides. It’s basically cardio plus rally practice with minimal downtime or formal instruction.
These live-ball clinics are built for higher-level players, mostly USTA 4.0+. Wednesday mixes 3.5/4.0. Text Andrew at (562) 250-4965 a few days ahead with your full name, USTA playing level, and the clinic day/date.
Show up at El Dorado Park Tennis Center and pay Coach Andrew on court (do not pay at the front desk). See current clinic rates on the home page.

Most clinics are for USTA/NTRP 4.0 and up. One weekly clinic mixes 3.5 and 4.0 (Wednesday). It is fast-paced and geared toward higher-level play. If you’re newer to tennis or still building basics, private lessons are usually the better first step. Once you’re comfortable with the pace, you’ll fit right into a clinic.
Ratings run 1.0-7.0. Quick guide for our clinics:
3.5: Steady moderate shots with some direction, still light on depth/variety. Starting to play net and cover more court; doubles teamwork developing.
4.0: Dependable strokes both sides with direction and depth. Can use lobs, overheads, approaches, and volleys. Serve forces some errors; doubles teamwork shows. Sometimes loses points from impatience.
4.5: Using power and spin, handling pace, solid footwork, varying tactics. Strong first serve, placed second. Can overhit tough balls. Aggressive net play in doubles.
